In the book i'm reading called Under the Dome the author spends a whole lot of time on the first day when the dome comes down, which they later call "Dome Day". I find it very odd how many people were hurt by the initial fall of the dome, I understand people driving into the dome and crashing but many people had severed limbs from the dome. One lady was reaching across the border to pick vegetables the the dome came down and cut her hand off. Another persons scarecrow got cut directly in half as well as a bird.
I just couldn't help but think, what are the odds your hand is reaching over a spot a giant dome is about to fall on. And if this were to happen to you how would you react to it if just out of no where your hand falls off onto the ground. Once you ran to get help people would think your crazy. Even when people were seeing the birds hit to dome and falling first hand they just stood there in awe wondering how this could possible be real.

How long can they last?
I just started reading my book Under the Dome by Stephen King and it starts off in some ones point of view in a plane right before the dome comes down and mid flight out of no where it crashes into the invisible dome and blows up in the air. The way the book started and how it didn't tell you what the dome was or why it was there it made you want to keep reading. I'm only a few chapters in but a giant semi circle dome fell from the sky on top of a little town called Chester's Mill located in rural Maine. The first thing this made me think of was the Simpson's movie when the government put a dome over their town because of pollution. One of the main characters name is Barbie which is a really odd name for a guy that beats money out of people that didn't pay something they owed, but anyways he was passing through town doing business when the dome came down and was trapped inside along with the citizens of Chester's Mill.
My first thought was how where they going to survive for very long without being able to get supplies from out of town, the town has a couple farms on it enough to feed the small town but where were they going to get water? I also wondered how long it would be before people started rioting and with a very small and limited police force they would not be able to keep a whole town in order for very long. The dome was going to be an ultimate test of how well the citizens of Chester's Mill could work together and for how long they could do it.

Under The Dome - Stephen King
I am just about to start reading the book Under the Dome by Stephen King. The past summer the TV series of Under the Dome was on and I watched it and i thought it was really good, shortly after the series ended I found out it was actually based off a book by Stephen King. I decided to get the book because I like reading a book and watching a TV series or movie version of it to see how I imagined things in my head and compare them to the movie/TV series. I wanted to learn more about Stephen King so i went to his website and learned that he has three children and he used to teach at Hampden Academy, a public highschool until he left to be a full time writer. He spends his winters in Florida and he spends the rest of the year in Bangor. Stephen King has writen about 55 books and he is still writing more. Has any one else read any books by Stephen King if so which ones?

Summer Reading Book
Over the summer i read a book call The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. The book was about a mentally challenged boy named Christopher Boone who finds a dog lying dead in the yard of his neighbors house. Christopher is very determined and is a very curious boy who wanted nothing more than to find out who killed the dog named Wellington. As Christopher dug into the pasts of his neighbors to find out who would have wanted to kill the dog he learned things about him own family that would make him want to run away. His father told him his mother died in the hospital but Christopher learned that she is still alive and his father was hiding it from him. Through-out this book there are many twist and turns and the suspence keeps building. I would highely recommend this book for and one who likes mysterys. The author did a very good job in describing the people and places in this book and I would give it a 9/10.
